In the Death Note scene where Light becomes a Shinigami, he makes a deal with Ryuk, the Shinigami who originally dropped the Death Note into the human world. Light trades his remaining years of life for the Shinigami eyes, which allow him to see the names and lifespans of individuals just by looking at them. This transformation signifies Light's descent into darkness and his willingness to sacrifice his humanity in pursuit of his goals. It also serves as a turning point in the series, as Light's actions become even more ruthless and calculating. **

In the process of gaining independence, individuals or entities become self-reliant and self-sufficient. This could mean breaking away from external control or influence, making decisions autonomously, and taking responsibility for one's own actions. Independence allows for personal growth, empowerment, and the ability to pursue one's own goals and aspirations without being hindered by outside forces. **

No, it is not true that someone who becomes nothing becomes a host. The concept of becoming nothing is not clearly defined, but it does not necessarily lead to becoming a host. Becoming a host typically refers to being a vessel for something else, such as a parasite or a spirit, and it is not directly related to the idea of becoming nothing. Each concept has its own implications and should be understood separately. **
